Hi!

Hello! This has been a good week! We had an exchange with the missionaries in Guildford, and that was really good. We had a good Wednesday and met lots of really nice people that we're going to go back and see (hopefully) on Thursday. We have started teaching a lady named Shanetta and her husband. They seem really cool and interested, and they are willing to read the Book of Mormon so that's a plus. They're busy, so we'll be teaching them over a period of time.

I'm excited for this week because we have a Zone Conference tomorrow and that will be really good. We're also getting more chances to go to member's houses and share a message with them and it's really helping them. There are a few now who have given out 'Book of Mormon'-s to their friends, so that's cool to see. I'm also really excited for General Conference, and we're showing it at our chapel so it should be easier to have people come and see it.

Umm, I think that's all I got, actually. September went by way too quickly. We had someone tell us that England is expecting some snow sometime in October (which is strange for them), so we'll see if that happens.

Talk to you next week, bye!

Technical Difficulties

Hello hello! Good morning! :) I am just getting off the computer, since they weren't working this morning. Technical difficulties. So no blog email this week, but . . . Keziah got baptised and that was cool. It was a really good experience.

Hello! No Transfer!

Quick update here, it's transfer day and both Elder Kendell and I are staying in Aldershot. I'm glad to be staying, and I'm looking forward to Keziah, who we've been teaching, getting baptised on Saturday! She's had her interview already and she is preparing her own baptismal service. Everything is going good, I think the next 6 weeks are going to be awesome because we've got some really good things going with the ward. Alright, that's it. :) Bye!

Hello there! Elder Bednar Conference!

Picture 1- The Temple, which we went to on Wednesday.

Picture 2- The Guildford Cathedral. It has what looks like an imitation Angel Moroni on top!

Hi! This was a good week. On Wednesday we went to the temple with Keziah, the girl who is preparing to be baptized on the 17th of September. She wanted to see the temple before getting baptized, so we went with her. She is doing really well, she really understands the doctrine and it makes sense to her. She's getting super involved, she went to the temple on Wednesday, a young single adult conference with Elder David A Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on Saturday, church on Sunday, and she's going to a church service project in London with Presiding Bishop H. David Burton today, we're teaching her on Wednesday, and then she's going to a church activity on Thursday, and then we're teaching her again on Friday. It's so cool to work with someone like her, who really enjoys the gospel. So that alone has made it a good week, and will make this a good week.

Other things that happened this week: We were in another area, Guildford, for a bit on Friday and we saw the Guildford Cathedral which has an angel on top of it too, except different. :) The Conference with Elder Bednar was really good. It was just a missionary conference so it was him, Elder Causse of the Seventy, and 120ish missionaries. He didn't give a talk. He had us read talks before the conference, then at the conference he asked what we learned. He taught us sort of along the way. Then he invited us to ask him questions, and he answered them all. I learned a lot! And it was just so good to see an actual Apostle of the Lord be so funny, straightforward, and down to earth. It was cool to see with my own eyes that he is just a normal man, but he has been called of God and understands a lot of the good and bad of the church. I thought it was cool because he mentioned some of the false traditions that spring up in the church, he didn't just pretend the church was perfect. One of the false traditions was a pretty common one, and that was taking copious notes which we will either lose or never look back on and review. He said that there was no point in taking notes that we won't use, and that if all we get from the conference are the words he says, then he hasn't done his job right. He said that we should take notes of what the Spirit was telling us during the talk, whether or not it had to do with what he was talking about. So it was really cool to hear him say that. I wish I could relate everything he said, but I'm not capable of doing so. If anyone wants to know more about it, send me an email. :)

So yes, it was a very very good week, and that was a really special experience to have. It probably won't happen again, being in that small of a group with an Apostle. Keziah is doing really good, and learning new stuff all the time and loving it. That's all I have to say, but next week is transfer week, so I won't email until Wednesday or Thursday. I think I'll stay in Aldershot with Elder Kendell, but we'll see what happens. :) Have a good week, bye!
